Air robotics company AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc. (UAVS), operating as EagleNXT, announced the sale of six eBee TAC tactical mapping drones to the U.S. Army.
The company said the drones purchased by the Army will be used across multiple mission sets. It described the platform as designed to support tactical operations that require rapid and reliable aerial data collection.
EagleNXT said the eBee TAC is a fixed-wing, hand-launched unmanned aerial vehicle. The drone is optimized for tactical mapping and intelligence gathering missions in operational environments.
According to the company, the eBee TAC offers an endurance of up to 90 minutes. It has a stated operational range of 17.2 miles and supports digital camouflage to enhance stealth during missions.
EagleNXT said each of the six drones is equipped with Sensor Optimized For Drone Applications 3D and Duet M sensors. The systems include real-time kinematic and post-processing kinematic activation to improve data accuracy.
The company said these sensor configurations are intended to support precise data capture and mapping in time-sensitive situations. EagleNXT did not disclose the financial terms of the sale.
Following the announcement, EagleNXT shares rose sharply in early trading. The stock was up more than 36% at Friday’s opening after gaining more than 38% during the pre-market session.
Retail sentiment tracked on Stocktwits trended bullish at the time of reporting. The platform reflected increased attention from individual investors after the disclosure.
EagleNXT Chief Executive Officer Bill Irby said demand for fast and dependable aerial data collection is expanding rapidly. He said the company has implemented multiple operational improvements through 2025 to shorten delivery timelines for drones and sensors.
EagleNXT said the eBee TAC platform can support missions such as border surveillance, reconnaissance, tactical mapping, intelligence collection for conflict support operations, counterinsurgency efforts, and search and rescue activities.
The company said the drone’s design and capabilities allow it to be deployed quickly in diverse operational scenarios.
