Sidus Space, Inc. reported a sharp increase in its share price after confirming the successful bus-level commissioning of its LizzieSat-3 spacecraft. The stock rose 46.75 in the past week.

The company said the commissioning marked a major step in its plan to expand space-based data services for government and commercial clients. The rise in share value followed the announcement as investors reacted to progress across the firm’s satellite program.

LizzieSat-3 completed all post-launch evaluations and activated key subsystems after its deployment earlier this year. Sidus Space said the satellite integrated CUS-GNC’s SpacePilot software, which supports autonomous navigation and optimized orbital maneuvers. The software is designed to strengthen performance across the company’s growing fleet.

The company is now moving into payload commissioning for LizzieSat-3. The process will support multiple customer payloads, including upgrades and mission-specific requirements. Sidus Space said its modular design and rapid integration cycles remain central to its satellite production strategy.

LizzieSat-3 carries high-resolution imaging systems and an Automatic Identification System payload. The AIS unit allows near real-time reception of maritime vessel data for customers that rely on monitoring and tracking services. The spacecraft also uses AI-driven on-orbit data processing through the Orlaith AI Platform and FeatherEdge edge computing.

Sidus Space said the completion of commissioning positions the company for expansion of its wider constellation. Additional satellites are in production, with launches planned for late 2026. The upcoming deployments are expected to increase capacity and broaden data offerings for global clients.

The company aims to advance its LizzieSat network with higher levels of edge autonomy and multi-sensor data fusion. Its VPX-based space computing systems are designed to strengthen performance across future missions. Sidus Space said these upgrades will support rising demand from defense, commercial, and allied customers.

The company reported that LizzieSat-3’s commissioning reflects its commitment to operational reliability and innovation as it prepares for broader satellite growth and expanded service capabilities.
